Dear Friends coordinating Luke Live! at your parish, here are a series of advertising helps for you

 

1.  Print the PDF file entitled “Bulletin Clips For Luke Live! five pages”  (You will find it on this web page) .  After you print these pages, you may reduce items in size on your photocopy machine as needed, IF you prefer to have these items as a Microsoft Publisher file, just email me with that request.

 

2.  Match clips with bulletin statements featured below.  I have provided a SUGGESTED SCHEDULE with examples as follows:


SUGGESTED SCHEDULE FOR BULLETIN ANNOUNCEMENTS:

 

For Sunday 8 to 7 weeks before your scheduled Mission:   Clip # 1 ("Look!")  and  2 ("Luke is coming!")  on page one of Bulletin Clip attachment --each block on a different page of  your parish bulletin.

 

For Sunday 6 to 5 weeks before your scheduled Mission :  Clip # 3--the entire page two  of Bulletin Clip Attachment  ("LOOK!" and "Look for Luke Live!") --adjust to the size you want--- and/ OR Clip # 4 on page three of Bulletin Clip attachment  ("Look! . . . Luke is Coming:") -- I suggest you place each block on a different page of your parish bulletin.

 

For Sunday, 4th week before your scheduled Mission:  PAGE FIVE of Bulletin Clip attachment ("You've hear of Saturday Night Live?  etc. plus God, Jesus, Spirit, Luke with "Come to Luke Live" beneath.  PLUS PHOTO of Fr. DiLuzio (to follow in subsequent emails I am sending to you) aligned with the following bulletin item:

 

LUKE IS COMING!  --Parish Mission on the Gospel of Luke is coming to Our Lady Of Mercy.  Entitled LUKE LIVE! --a dramatic proclamation for people of all ages by Paulist Fr. James DiLuzio, Paulist priest, missionary and actor..  Fr. ALSO FOR THIS 4TH WEEK BEFORE THE MISSION---BE SURE YOUR SCHOOL SENDS HOME THIS FLYER OR A BROCHURE and/or includes this item in its School Newsletter--no later then 4 or 3 weeks before the Mission.  

 

ALSO THIS IS THE WEEK TO SEND A COPY OF THE BULLETIN ITEM TO NEIGHBORING PARISHES and local diocesan and secular NEWSPAPERS as a press release.  Use the above bulletin item OR one of those that follow below.

   

For Sunday, 3rd week before your Mission dates:  Clip # 6 and # 7 on page four of Bulletin Clip attachment  ("Luke Live--Monday through Thursday etc.) and ("Let Luke prepare you for Reconciliation"--i.e., if you are including a Reconciliation Service as part of your Mission.)  If a Reconciliation Service is not part of your Mission,  then substitute any of the other material as you wish along with Clip # 6 (Luke Live--Monday through, etc, with phrase "See elsewhere in bulletin for details") --each block on a different page PLUS PHOTO of Fr. DiLuzio aligned with this 2nd Bulletin  item  --this is DIFFERENT from the previous week:

In addition:  If your parish has devised a FLYER or arranged a BROCHURE for LUKE LIVE! then I suggest this 3rd Weekend BEFORE the Mission is the best time to insert in your bulletin or distribute at Mass.

LUKE LIVE! ARRIVES!  On Monday through Thursday evenings, (your dates:)___________________ Paulist Father James DiLuzio will conduct a parish Scripture Retreat entitled Luke Live! As a missionary and actor, Fr. James brings alive all of the dramatic power and soaring promise of the original Gospel preaching by sharing Luke’s Gospel as the early Church heard it—as stories handed down from memory through an "oral tradition" enhanced with music and hymn-singing. _____ PM in the Church.  For Adults, Teens and children age 7 and up. As a bible-based Mission/ Retreat, Luke Live! provides an excellent ecumenical opportunity that will foster blessing and understanding among Catholics and their Protestant family members and neighbors.  Invite family, friends and neighbors, too.  Also morning session following the ______ A.M. Mass.
